How Can I Use TeamBios To Pick Winners Versus the Spread?

You may be wondering what makes our online TeamBios program so accurate in selecting high performance athletes and teams that can beat the spread. First, TeamBios founder, Harvey Makishima, randomly selected 8 symbols to represent various points within each biorhythmic cycle. After manually writing and analyzing three biorhythm symbols for each player during thousands of games, he found that the emotional cycle was the primary or cycle with the greatest impact on performance. He found that when positive, players in all sports were more proficient and performed at higher levels than when in a negative position (below the line) on the biorhythmic sine wave.

Biorhythms start from the date of birth. There are three cycles physical, emotional and intellectual. We’ve found that the emotional cycle is key in sports. This cycle governs confidence, a positive mental attitude and a willingness to be collaborative which allows athletes to play successfully together as a team.

If an athlete has a negative in the emotional cycle they will feel tentative and unsure of their abilities.

Makishima also found that the emotional cycle governs such attributes as confidence, collaboration (or the ability to play well as a team), and a positive mental attitude. I’m sure you’ll agree that confidence and these other emotional characteristics are extremely important in any sport.

The intellectual cycle governs memory, creativity and judgment or decision-making abilities. Now, if you can imagine a player in the NFL, for example, that’s confident and has great judgment, you can see why he’d play very well with these biorhythms. We’ve found that players with these kinds of biorhythms will execute plays well, run routes more precisely, pass the ball more accurately, pick the openings in the offensive line more quickly and have a much better overall game.

Next, Makishima found that when two or more of the cycles were positive there was a significant relationship to exemplary performances. In 1996 he found that the intellectual cycle was also very significant for high performance potential in many sports but found that the physical cycle mattered very little in most positions of most sports.

Finally, Makishima reviewed hundreds of pages of notes and computer print outs to create an assignment of values that precisely identifies how well a player will play based upon specific combinations of positive or negative phases in each of the biorhythmic cycles. This complex set of individual BioRatings represents 512 possible combinations of his randomly selected symbols.

When each player’s biorhythm has a rating that is high or above 7, the athlete will play exceptionally well. Makishima’s BioRating system ranges from 10 (best) to -3 (worst). When a high percentage of players on a team have high BioRatings, it follows that the team’s BioValue will be high. The higher the BioValue of a team, the better the team will play, especially when playing an opponent with a low BioValue.
